This is a case of a severe deep overbite. Before treatment, the patient presented with maxillary anterior crowding, a deep bite, and retroclined upper incisors that completely covered the lower anterior teeth, causing the lower incisal edges to impinge on the palatal mucosa.  If left untreated, this type of malocclusion can lead to severe long-term damage to the gums, teeth, and overall masticatory system.

Therefore, the non-extraction orthodontic treatment plan was implemented, combined with whole-arch maxillary distalization using Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) to control the position of the upper anterior teeth and prevent proclination after correcting the tooth inclination. This orthodontic intervention not only restores smile aesthetics but also effectively rehabilitates the bite function to prevent future oral health.
